Elva E. Wildenberg, age 96, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2013. Elva was born on March 9, 1917 to the late Treffley and Emma Lenneville in Lena, Wisconsin. On June 18, 1942 Elva was united in marriage to Arthur Wildenberg. Elva was a graduate of Kimberly High School. She spent many years working at Kimberly State Bank, and after working her way up to Executive Assistant to the President, she retired in 1981. Elva was a dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, and spent hours volunteering, helping fellow members, and attending countless services. Elva was a loyal member of the Kaukauna Elks. She loved to tend to her beautiful flower garden. Elva was also the leader of a local exercise class up until her early 90s.
Elva is survived by her two children: Steven (Jill) Wildenberg; Judy (Robert) Wright; her grandchildren: Ben (Cheryl) Ebert; Adam (Michele) Ebert; Tamee (Jacint) Simon; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Wildenberg; daughter, Jean; and her brother Aaron.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 N. Oneida St. with Rev. Lloyd Luedeman officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Appleton Retirement Center along with the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the wonderful care given to Elva.
