Elizabeth Ann Sijak, age 61, passed away on October 23, 2009. She was born on November 29, 1947, the daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Berkovitz) Helbick. Elizabeth graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1965. Shortly after high school she met and married her husband, Daryl Sijak on October 29, 1966. Elizabeth worked for Valweld Incorporated for several years. She then worked for Outagamie County in billing for the fiscal department until her retirement in 2003. Elizabeth loved to read, shop and go to Mole Lake Casino for fun. She is remembered for her unique sense of humor and her devotion to family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Daryl Sijak of Crandon; children: Michelle (Tom) Leitermann of Appleton, Jennifer Sijak and her fiancé, Steve Loose of Appleton; grandchildren: Taylor, Ashley, Spencer, Zuri; sisters: Jean (James) Rohr, Bonnie (Donald) Thor; brother, Robert (Nancy) Helbick and numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sophia Sijak.

A funeral service for Elizabeth will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Dick Schaefer officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
