Eleanor M. Sheveland, age 92, passed away on December 8, 2021 at Clark County Rehab & Living Center after a short illness. She was born December 15, 1928 at Waupaca, Wisconsin. Eleanor was a wife, mother and friend. She was a member of the Waupaca WFW Auxiliary, St. Mary Magdalene of Waupaca, St Mary’s Greenville WI and St Thomas More of Appleton. Eleanor worked many part-time jobs through her years while raising her family.
On January 28, 1947, Glen Sheveland and Eleanor Rader were joined in marriage. They shared 64 years of marriage. They resided in Waupaca and Appleton and spent their winters in Arizona for 19 years after Glen’s retirement. They enjoyed traveling with their family and friends throughout the U.S. Eleanor liked to sew, garden, and play cards, dominoes and bingo.
Eleanor is survived by five daughters: Mary (Neal) Folz of Wisconsin Rapids, Linda and Karen of Appleton, Julie (Jon) Counsell of Neillsville and Glenna of Raleigh, NC. Eleanor is also survived by three grandsons and 1 granddaughter: Tim (Kristy), Chad and Dereck (Heather) Folz, granddaughter, Keri (Mike) Likes and three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Eleanor was preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services for Eleanor will be at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, on Wednesday December 15th at 11:00 AM with Deacon Lincoln Wood officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Waupaca.
