Kluck, Edwin R.
Edwin R. Kluck, age 94, passed away on Monday, March 15th, 2010 at Colony Oaks Care Center. He was born in the Town of Sharon, Portage County, January 22, 1916, the son of the late John and Victoria (Myska) Kluck. Ed was a World War II veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army from March 1941 to September 1945. He worked 30 years at the Appleton Machine Company. Ed was the Range Officer for the Twin City Rod and Gun Club for 38 years, also serving on the board of directors. He enjoyed the great outdoors, spending happy times on his hunting land in Waupaca County, also his hunting trips to Montana, Canada and Newfoundland. He also enjoyed many bus trips with his wife throughout the United States.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay, and their son, Howard (Carol) Kluck of Little Chute; grandsons: Christopher (Pam) Kluck of Brillion, Trevor (Christine) Kluck of Little Chute; great-granddaughters: Michaela and Hailee Kluck; great-grandson, Trenten Kluck; step-great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Noah and Michael. Ed is further survived by his brother, Raymond (Marcella) Kluck of Amherst; four sisters in Stevens Point: Evelyn Garski, Bernice Pliska, Virginia Kluck and Margaret (Eddie) Grubba and sister-in-law, Katie Kluck of Wittenberg.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. The committal will be held at Holy Name Cemetery at a later date.
