Edward Martin Daly

Edward Martin Daly, “Marty”, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024.

Marty was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 4, 1945, to James and Sally (Olszewski) Daly.

On December 29, 1986, he married the love of his life, Pam Polman, and they were married for 37 wonderful years.

In 1965 Marty joined the Marines and after his honorable discharge he went to work for Honeywell. He worked for Honeywell for 35 years. He also worked for Johnson Controls and retired from there at the age of 69. 

Marty enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the north woods. He enjoyed the solitude of his hunting time with his cocker spaniel Kate, squirrel hunting. 

Marty is survived by his wife, his sons James McDade Daly III, William Garrett (Christina) Daly, 3 grandchildren Caitlin, Harrison, Miles, 3 stepchildren Heidi (Jeff) Cook, Derek Hassell, Jonathan Hassell, 5 step grandchildren, Aspen, Chloe, Sierra, Kilian, Kaylee, sister Jacqueline Daly, 3 nieces Denise (William) Smith, Danette (Gary)  Soukup, and Doreen Renk.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents and his previous wife Joan (mother of Jim and Bill). 

A memorial prayer service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery Chapel on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:00 am.
