Dr. Jim (James) Smrecek (DOB December 27th, 1954) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 18th, 2026.

A time of gathering and visitation will take place on Wednesday October 28, 2026, from 5:30pm until 7:30pm, followed by a prayer vigil at 7:30pm, at Wichmann Funeral Home-Fargo Chapel, 400 W Wisconsin Ave, Kaukauna.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30am on Thursday October 29, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:30am until mass begins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Holy Cross Bell Tower Project in memory of Dr. Jim Smrecek.

Dr. Jim was part of the lives of many patients, colleagues, friends, etc. over the years. An email address has been created for people to share their memories of Jim, so that his family can share in these stories of how Jim touched the lives of others.
