Douglas R. Fritsch, 66, passed away on November 19, 2025, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born on October 9, 1959, in Quincy, Massachusetts, the son of Norbert and Joanne (Prentice) Fritsch.
Doug graduated from Appleton West High School in 1978 and went on to attend University of Wisconsin Oshkosh before beginning a long and dedicated career. Doug worked as an IT support analyst at Bel Brands USA where he spent 40 years, having recently retired in April. Doug married Nancy Nowak on September 15, 1994, and spent 31 wonderful years together. He will always be remembered for his caring nature, strong work ethic, and the simple passions he cherished, including bowling and board games.
Doug is survived by his wife, Nancy; and children: Melissa, Rebecca, and Alex. In addition, his loss will be mourned by his extended family of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Doug was preceded by his grandparents Charles and Margaret Fritsch, and his parents, Norbert and Joanne (Prentice) Fritsch.
A celebration of life for Doug is being planned for a later date.
A special thank you to the wonderful healthcare staff and medical professionals at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton who provided such compassionate, loving care for Doug during his final few weeks.
