Dorothy (Anderson) Liesch, age 75, of Kaukauna went home to be with her Lord and Savior, January 20, 2019 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born October 13, 1943 in Rockford, IL, to Marion (Anstrom) and Karl Eugene Anderson. Upon graduating high school, she became an LPN at St. Vincent Hospital in the Neonatal ICU and loved caring for all the babies. While in Green Bay, she met the love of her life, Francis “Fran” Liesch. They were married on July 23, 1966.
Throughout Dorothy’s life she enjoyed working in customer service and talking with people. She spent many hours baking cakes, selling Avon and selling advertising space for the Times Villager. Dorothy, and her three sisters, loved growing up in Sturgeon Bay, WI. She was active in her church as a member of Appleton Community Church. Dorothy enjoyed spending hours with Fran driving to different locations to enjoy sunsets and visiting Door County. Dorothy also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her sons: Karl (Tara), Kyle (Ev) and Kevin (Laura); a sister Barbara (Herschel) Sandefur and her nine grandchildren: Kira (Tanner) Schuth, Kiana, Kayla, Bradley, Katelyn, Tayler, Zayden, Dominik, and Jadyn. She is also survived by one expected great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Eugene, her husband Fran, her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Mose Alberts and sister, Elaine Hall.
The funeral service for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 6:00 PM at FARGO FUNERAL HOME. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
Our family would like to express our thanks to her treatment nurses: Jami, Tracy, and Sarah. You all have meant the world to Dorothy and kept her going through some hard times. We would also like to thank the excellent, compassionate nurses at St. E’s that cared for Dorothy during her stay in the ICU.
