DonnaRae Schreiber, age 92, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023. Donna was born in Madison, WI, to Floyd and Aurora (Olson) Pierson.  In 1949, she graduated from Madison East High School and in 1951 she married her high school sweetheart William Schreiber.

Donna was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family and friends are going to miss her heart of gold, happy smile and so many loving ways. In life she did anything she could for anyone in need and never expected anything in return. Her generosity and love for family and most of all children will always be remembered by all who knew her. Her love of children led her to work in the Kimberly School System as a library aide for many years, spending time teaching them reading skills. She also enjoyed pouring into the young lives at her church teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School through the years.

She was a great homemaker, was known as a gifted crafter, a great cook, and a baker-including some Scandinavian goodies. Donna loved crafts and made homemade afghans, sweaters and hats for everyone who was important in her world.

Throughout her life, Donna had a passion for horses and cowboys.  Her great western adventures included three visits to “dude ranches” where she was able to spend time up close and personal with the horses. She travelled all over, and enjoyed camping with her husband, but those trips with family to the ranches were a premium. Even recently, she was able to spend some time with some ponies and get some nuzzles.

DonnaRae is survived by her children: Kathleen (Jim) Weyers and Steve (Dawn) Schreiber; in addition, she is survived by grandchildren: Meghan (Steve) Lehl, Matt (Kate) Weyers, Chris Schreiber, Michelle Schreiber and Brandon Schreiber as well as 6 great grandchildren: Payton Schreiber, Easton Priebe-Schreiber, Benjamin Weyers, Brinley Weyers, Reid Weyers and Grady Lehl.

She was preceded in death in by her husband William, a son William Jr. and her parents.

A private funeral service for DonnaRae will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home-Tri County Chapel followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, WI.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider a donation to SOAR Fox Cities or a charity of your choosing in Donna’s name.
