Donna Jean Wichman

Donna J. Wichman (Schmitt), 83, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. She was born on January 21, 1941, in Appleton, Wisconsin to Lloyd and Marge (Geritts) Schmitt.

If you recognize this smile, then you know her laugh, her passion for chocolate, building elaborate legos, puzzles, bowling, playing cards and going to lunch with friends.

Donna was a kind, generous and loving woman who adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Larry, for 63 years. Together, they raised their children and built a beautiful life together in Combined Locks.

Donna is survived by daughters Christine (Jamie) Merckx, Lori (Terry) Ver Voort; daughter-in-law Debora Wichman; grandchildren Matthew Wichman, Jacob (Katie) Wichman, Nicole (Jason) Hildebrandt, Nathan Ver Voort, Kyle Merckx, Eryn Merckx; great grandchildren Callan and Graham Wichman. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry and son Tim Wichman.

A visitation for Donna will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street in Combined Locks, WI 54113 on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM until time of funeral liturgy at 11:00 AM, with Fr. Bob Stegman officiating. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Combined Locks.

Donna's family would like to thank her care team at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton and the entire staff at Cherry Meadows for their care and compassion.
