FRANCEK, DONNA F.

Donna F. Francek, 62, of Appleton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at her home. She was born on January 3, 1948 in Marquette, Michigan, the daughter of the late Donald and Frances (Zinski) Drake. On June 4, 1971 she married John Francek in Menominee, Michigan. He preceded Donna in death on November 23, 2000. Donna had a strong faith and prayed the rosary daily. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton. John and Donna enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling together. She was always busy in the kitchen with her cooking and canning. Donna also enjoyed reading and gardening. Family and friends were very important to her.

She is survived by her son: Chris Francek, Green Bay; stepson: John Francek, Texas; grandchildren: Mason John Francek and Stephanie Francek; mother-in-law: Mildred Francek, Neenah and her sister: Gail (Tom) Jasionowski, Centreville, Virginia. Donna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral liturgy for Donna will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State Street, Appleton. Fr. Bob Lexa will be officiating. The visitation will take place at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
