Donald W. Vyvyan passed away on August 7, 2026, in the loving embrace of Heather and Joan to join his family in the loving embrace of his Lord. He was born on July 26, 1937, to his parents Wallace and Mildred Vyvyan, in Dodgeville, WI.

Don graduated from Washington Park High School in 1955 in Racine, WI, and worked diligently as a supervisor at both Western Publishing in Racine, and George Banta Company in Menasha until he retired in 1999. He enjoyed traveling, his many walks with Jim Van Handel, cheering on the Packers and Badgers, and enjoying cuisine at local restaurants. Notably, his beverages of choice were a well-made Vodka Gimlet, Brandy Old Fashioned, and his go to drink, a “warm” diet Pepsi. He volunteered at multiple places in the community, such as Banta BRAVO, the Blood Center, Highway Pickup, Wheelchair Wash, Grandpa’s Cookout, and the local Food Pantry. He also assisted in remodel of his extended family’s family room to be handicap accessible. He would mow a neighbors’ lawn when he was sick or needed help. Even after he passed away, Don would continue to help keep his lawn in pristine condition!

Don is preceded by his parents, Wallace and Mildred (Teisberg) Vyvyan, brother, Richard (Patricia) Vyvyan, daughter, Lee Ann Kells, nephew, Michael Leger, and extended family, Joe and Marie Michalkiewicz, Jean Michalkiewicz, James Michalkiewicz, Dennis Flenz, and Bonnie Michalkiewicz. He is survived by his loving significant other, Joan Stellmacher, daughter, Heather Vyvyan, sister, Joan (Bob) Leger, extended family, Donna Michalkiewicz, Linda Flenz, Patrick (Melanie Lloyd) Michalkiewicz, and many nieces and nephews.

Don’s family would like to thank the hospice team, 8th floor nursing staff and housekeepers at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center who took such good care of him. Dr. Samuel Heiks and Jackie of Primary Care Associates, our wonderful neighbors, and all their support is greatly cherished. Scott and Lynette Rehrauer are especially appreciated for their lawn care and snow removal.

Don was a generous man who was willing to share his tools, knowledge and time with anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed.
