Donald Lowell Herzberg, 92, of Menasha, WI passed away peacefully at his home in Menasha.
Donald was born July 12, 1931 in Appleton. Son of the late Herbert and Esther (Rusch) Herzberg.
He worked with his family at the grocery store that they ran in Appleton and moved to the family farm in Weyauwega. He was drafted into the Army in 1951 and was stationed in West Germany until he was discharged on November 1953.
Donald worked at Neenah Foundry for 30 years. He loved doing taxes and worked for H&R Block doing taxes up until he was 85 years old. He spent his free time traveling, hanging out with family and friends, attending sporting events, and looking at cars. He liked to fish on White Lake outside of Weyauwega.
He is survived by his wife Veronica Herzberg and their children Mark Herzberg (Seattle, WA) and Brian Herzberg (Menasha, WI). His brother Norbert (Carol) Herzberg (Brooksville, FL) and his two sisters Janice (Richard) Bruha (Neenah, WI) and Ilona (James) Paschke (New London, WI).
The funeral service will be held on Friday December 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (2330 East Calumet St., Appleton, WI 54915) in Appleton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service. Burial will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton on Tuesday December 26, 2023.
The family would like to thank all those who loved Donald and cared for him. Special thanks go out to Keith & Connie Rushford for always being there for Donald.
