Dolores Pearl Schmidt

Dolores Pearl Schmidt, age 84, went home to rest with her Savior and Lord Jesus on August 7, 2015. She was born on July 9th, 1931 in Appleton to the late Frank and Margaret (Lanser) Hollenback. On August 29th, 1953 she was united in marriage with Joseph Schmidt. Over the years of marriage they enjoyed extensive travel and summers at the cottage. They also enjoyed spending time gathering with family and friends for holidays, dinner parties, breakfast club, and crazy card games.

Dolores served with the Ladies of Sacred Heart for many years and volunteered her time at St. Elizabeth hospital in the gift shop. In her spare time you could find her with a book in her hand.

Dolores is survived by her husband Joe and their five children: Ray Schmidt, Liz (Jeff) Harvey, Kathy (Brian) Kelly, Patty (John) Belongea, Jenny (Tom) Kispert. 11 grandchildren: Eric Schmidt, Cassie Schmidt (Justin Perry) (Boyfriend), Matt (Carolyn) Harvey, Michael (Kristen) Harvey, Stephen, Erin and Megan Kelly, Michelle (Eugene) VanLanen, Ericia (BJ) Maxfield, Alex and Mitchell Kispert. 8 great grandchildren: Kendra Schmidt/Mayo, Kia Perry/Schmidt, Brayden Schmidt, Tansy and Orion West, Sophie Harvey, Payten VanLanen, Decklin Maxfield .

Dolores is further survived by Betty (Bob) Hickenbothem, Jen Hollenback.

She was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Margaret Hollenback, Fran (Mickey) Hollenback, Jean (Red) Falk, Marie (Leroy) Heimmerman, Curley/Jerome Hollenback, Marge (Bob) Balza.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E Fremont St. Appleton WI 54915, Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Service officiated by Father Brian Wideman.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. O'Brien and staff, all hospice staff, especially Michelle, Gina, and Ann.

In lieu of flowers there will be a memorial fund for Hospice or family.
