Dirk Bavinck of Appleton, WI, passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Dirk was born in the Netherlands on September 1, 1939, to Dirk (Sr.) and Margaret (Keyzef) Bavinck. Most of his childhood was spent in the Netherlands until the age of 19, when he then moved to Appleton, WI, and met his future wife, Antonette (Boselie) Bavinck.

He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers, John (Charlotte) Bavinck, Joe (Sandy) Bavinck, and Kees (Riet) Bavinck, sisters, Willie (Don) Schumacker, Oedah (Hugo) Knol, Mary (Michael) Safford, Henny (Wim) Kors, and Trien Stork.

Dirk is also survived by his loving wife, Antonette, brother Ben (Jude) Bavinck, children, Dan (Pam) Bavinck, Jeff Bavinck, and Chad (Becky) Bavinck, and grandchild, Jakobe (Brooke) Hammen, and greatgrandchild, Nettie Hammen.

A celebration of life will be held at Appleton Alliance Church on October 14, 2026. A visitation will be held from 8:30-9:30am with a service to follow from 9:30-10:30am. Friends and family are welcome!
