Dianne “Dee Dee” Van Stippen, 72, of Appleton died Sunday May 1, 2011
at Appleton Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1939, in
LaCrosse, a daughter of the late Robert and Evellyn (Netwall)
McFadden. Dianne married Charles Van Stippen, September 25, 1965 in
Appleton.
Dianne worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill from 1963 -1965, and later at
Mavericks Mexican Restaurant from 1984 – 1986. Her main job was
taking care of her family, especially raising her son, Todd. She was
an avid Packer and Brewer fan; she enjoyed bowling, and taking road
trips to the casino; her greatest joy was spending time with her
Grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles; her son, Todd
(Therese) Van Stippen of Hortonville; five grandchildren, Teala
(Justin) Recha, Appleton, Corey Van Stippen U.S. Navy -, Portsmouth,
Virginia, Chase, Trinity, and Cole Van Stippen all of Hortonville;
two brothers, Robert (Sara) McFadden, Onalaska, and Michael (Mary)
McFadden, Brice Prarie; three brothers-in-law, James (Carol) Van
Stippen, Darboy, John (Mary) Van Stippen, Neenah, and Raymond Van
Stippen (Lisa Minlscmidt), Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Frances
Rivera, Appleton, and Roberta Perry, Appleton; numerous nieces and
nephews; and her best friend, Gloria (Arnie) Thompson, Holmen. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Dominik.
Funeral service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at
WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida Street, with
Deacon C.F. Dedman of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton,
officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm until the hour of
service. In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
