Diane Marie Blake, July 3, 1949, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, surrounded by her family and her dog Odie at her feet.
Diane graduated from Menasha High School and held many clerical positions throughout her life. Her talent for cooking, her green thumb for growing plants, and her love of animals made her happy. Even if she was a woman of few words, her actions told us how much she loved us and we always knew where she stood. During her battle with cancer, her stubbornness helped her enjoy each day the best she could.
Diane is the daughter of Charles and Marcella Fritsch of Menasha, the sister of Daniel J. Fritsch, Charles L. Fritsch, Patricia A. Provenzano-Montag, Gary P. Fritsch, Pamela A. Fritsch, and Anthony Fritsch. Diane is the mother of Jerry and Jason Geise, the wife of Daniel W. Blake, and step-mother to his children, Tim, Jessica, and Jamie. Diane also has many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild, as well as many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Daniel, Gary, and Anthony; her sister, Pamela; and her husband, Daniel W. Blake.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry and Jason Geise; her siblings, Charles (Elly) Fritsch, and Patricia Provenzano-Montag; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other beloved family.
A memorial service for Diane will be held on Friday, May 8, at 11:00 AM, at the Laemmrich Funeral Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St, Menasha. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at the gravesite of her parents at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Menasha following the service.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Jill Fritsch and Patricia Provenzano-Montag, and to the staff at ThedaCare Hospice for their wonderful, loving care of Diane.
