Delano "Del" Worden

Delano "Del" Worden, aged 88, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Menasha, WI. Del was born on May 16, 1936, in Appleton, WI. 

 Del graduated from Appleton West and soon after joined the Air Force, where he worked as an airplane mechanic. Following his military service, he met his wife, Lois, and began a career as an artist and graphic designer which remained his lifelong passion. 

 Del was known for his sense of humor and interest in restoring antique bicycles and cars. He was also a member of the Waupaca Old Time Auto Club. 

 Del is survived by his son, Matt (Carolyn) Worden and their son Russell. He is also survived by his daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Child and their daughters Nicole Halverson (sons, Caleb and Cass) and Kendall (Dave) Taylor. 

 Del is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Worden and son, Jon Worden. He is further preceded by his parents Albert and Adeline Worden, his sister Margaret, and his brothers Roy, Leon, and Donald. 

 A visitation and services to honor Del's life will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. in Appleton, WI at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024.

 In lieu of flowers a donation may be made on Del’s behalf to the Moments Hospice Foundation.
