Deborah (Joseph) Babcock, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 15th at the age of 78. Born in 1947, Deb was the beloved daughter of the late Jerome and Anne Joseph. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 50 years, Peter Babcock; her sister, Celeste; and brother, Russell. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jeanette; and her grandson, Jonah, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Lori Joseph-Williams and her husband, Martin; her brother, Gregory Joseph and his wife, Barbara; her nephew, Ron Olson; and her loyal best friend, Kasey Thomas.
Deborah graduated Appleton (West) High School in 1965. Her extrovert nature thrived on being around people. Many years of cab driving fed her need for interaction and making new connections. She later found a true passion working with developmentally disabled adults. A career that allowed her to serve and love endlessly, for which she was so grateful. Always up for anything, Debbie enjoyed many interests over the years. From crocheting and leather crafting, to fishing and birdwatching, she put her heart and enthusiasm into everything. She delighted in the excitement of slot machines, whether she was in Green Bay, Vegas, or Palm Springs. Chatting and playing games with her bestie was the happiness that fueled her perseverance. Her maternal love and support knew no bounds. Above all, her grandson Jonah was the light of her life.
A beacon of love and kindness, her bright spirit will be dearly missed. Her gentle soul has left a mark on this earthly realm, a reminder of how much better we could all be to one another. May she be hitting it big on the slots in the sky. ♡
In lieu of a formal service and consistent with her wishes, the family asks that you think of Deb and show kindness to everyone in your path.
Thanks to everyone for the condolences and support.
