Dawn Maureen Yohr, born August 5th, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, peacefully passed away on April 13th, 2024, in Appleton, Wisconsin, surrounded by family.

Dawn graduated from high school in Gillett, Wisconsin.  Throughout her life, Dawn pursued various career paths, including newspaper advertising sales in Athens, Georgia; jewelry sales at Ben Bridge Jewelers in San Diego, California; and managing an art gallery in La Jolla, California.  In fact, she sold artwork to many famous people.   After moving to Appleton, Wisconsin, she worked in jewelry sales at Helzberg Diamonds, and as a real estate broker for Coldwell Banker.

Dawn's vibrant spirit thrived in the outdoors, especially when boating and camping in her RV.  She enjoyed time with friends at the Appleton Yacht Club and had a passion for collecting art.  She owned several pieces of artwork from her dear friend, Colleen Ross.  Her generous nature shone through her volunteer work at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Faith Lutheran Church, and the Fox Valley Humane Society, where she always seemed to rescue the dogs that no one else would.  Her two rescued pups, Riley and Kelly, were her constant companions until the very end.

In 1995, she fell in love and married Raymond Yohr of Appleton, Wisconsin, where they enjoyed 29 years of happiness in marriage.

An avid traveler, Dawn cherished the moments spent exploring the world with her friends, especially her husband, Raymond, and beloved travel partners, Ginny and Dennis Buschke.  She also had a particular fondness for dancing, especially to disco music.

Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Edna Spaulding; and her three brothers, Roland, Marlin, and Dennis.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Yohr; two sons Mark (Kate) Wilson, and Dave (Peggy) Wilson; five grandchildren, Mindy Peterson, Alex Wetzel, Tayler (Mitchell) LaBerge, Kasey Wilson, and Scott Kalmon; her sister and brother-in-law Ginny & Dennis Buschke; four step-children, Bruce (Dionna) Yohr, Amy (John) LaFond, Randy Yohr, and Greg Yohr; seven step-grandchildren, Jordan (Ann) Yohr, Cameron (Kim) Yohr, Brittney LaFond, Ryan LaFond, Samantha Yohr, Garrett Yohr, and Tyler Yohr; and five great-grandchildren, Scarlett, William, Addison, Margaret, and Penelope.

A memorial service to honor Dawn's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 601 E. Glendale Ave, Appleton, WI. Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am.  Dawn will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Faith Lutheran Church or the Fox Valley Humane Society are appreciated.
