David “Dave” Wayne Zboray, age 71, passed away on June 30, 2025, at ThedaCare Neenah. Dave was born on January 26, 1954, in Fort Worth, TX to Donald and Dorothy (Hoare) Zboray. As the son of an Air Force man, Dave spent time in many locations around the United States and eventually landing in Oshkosh, WI where he met a 13-year-old Antoinette “Toni” DeBusschere who was destined to become the love of his life and the person with whom he would share his life. The two married on May 4, 1973, and they began their family after which he entered the Coast Guard and was stationed in Milwaukee, where the two could spend time together. Three children blessed their world, and they raised their family in Menasha following a move there in 1978, For 40 years, Dave worked as a Millwright at Wisconsin Tissue Mills. His enlistment in the Coast Guard lasted four years resulting in an honorable discharge.
Dave loved the outdoors and loved to hunt deer and go fishing. He enjoyed spending time on the lakes during the summer on his boat, and on the ice (fishing) in the winter. He owned land up north and loved his time in his hunting shack.
Dave is survived by his wife of 52 years Toni; his children: Eric Zboray, Neenah, Angela (Jason) Brown, Neenah and Sarah (Darius Calloway, Jr) Calloway; grandchildren: Zachary (Becky) Brown, Colorado Springs, CO, Zoe (Brianna) Brown, Neenah, Isiah Calloway, Appleton, and Haven Calloway, Neenah; as well as great grandchildren: Oliver, Adalynn, Elaine, and Landon. In addition, he is survived by his brother Donald Zboray, Jr, good friends Bill and Patty Runke as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dave’s family will host a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2025
And the family would like to give a special “Thank You” to his Best Friend Bill Runke for all the years of friendship and for being there for him through everything.
