David J. “Dave” Schwaller, age 68, of Menasha, passed away on December 23, 2023. David was born on January 11, 1955 to Eugene and Eleanor (Vanden Heuvel) Schwaller in Kaukauna Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Kimberly High School. He attended Fox Valley Tech in Appleton where he received his associate degree. He was employed with Treasure Island, where he first met his wife Nona. In 1978 he married the former Nona Volpe at First Methodist Church in Appleton. The family moved to Minnesota where Dave took employment with the U.S. Post Office in Rochester Minnesota. He retired after over 20 years with the Postal Service.
Dave loved time with his family more than anything. His granddaughter Kira was the apple of his eye and from the moment she was born she had him wrapped around her finger. As long as you weren’t popping in, you were always welcome. Just call first. He loved camping and sitting around the campfire as well as boating, fishing and geocaching. Dave was also an avid sports fan and proudly supported all Wisconsin teams, including the Packers and Badgers.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Nona, children; Shannon (Audra) Schwaller, Terry (Kelly) Schwaller and their daughter Kira, siblings Gerry (Linda) Schwaller, Ken (Moe) Schwaller, Ted Schwaller, Jeff (Brenda) Schwaller, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barb (Steve) Du Vall, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dennis "Skip" (Judith Mathews) Volpe as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, brothers; Tom Schwaller, and Mark (Diane) Schwaller.
