Darold D. Howard, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton. He was born on March 9, 1964, in Kaukauna, the son of Donald and Norma (Meyer) Howard. Darold was united in marriage to Shelly Rollo on August 10, 1985, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Darold was a loving husband, dad and papa that spent most of his time with his family and close friends. He enjoyed working at B&H Pattern as a maintenance mechanic, as well as the friendships he formed with his co-workers. Darold loved spending his time outdoors with his family: riding UTV’s, hunting, boating, and guiding youth hunters. He will be remembered most for his love of family and his involvement in his grandchildren’s sporting events. Darold could always brighten up the room with one of his sarcastic remarks and his goofy grin. He was one of the most hard working men you could meet and would do anything to help anyone in need.
Darold will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend: Shelly; son: Nathan (Christina) Howard; daughter: Amanda Howard; grandchildren: Kolton and Brinley Howard; his mother: Norma; 5 siblings: Mavis Howard, Dave (Mary) Howard, Jane (Bob) Winter, Dale (Kathy) Howard, and Duane (Sara) Howard; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Darold was preceded in death by his father: Don Howard; grandparents: Fred and Mary Howard; nephew: Bobby Weber; and other extended family members.
Funeral service for Darold will be held at 6:00 pm, on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
