Darlene Rasmussen, age 76, of Menasha, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was born on December 29, 1936, in Menasha, the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Kohler) Tschirgi. Darlene retired from the Neenah Joint School District in 1998. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha. Darlene was an avid reader and enjoyed feeding the birds and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Darlene is survived by her daughters: Deb (Andy) Jorgensen and Kim (Mike) Schaefer; grandchildren: Claire and Domenic Marcantonio; Kyle Robinson; Ryan (Jeanine) Rasmussen and Derek (Stephanie) Rasmussen; great granddaughters: Marlie and Ivie Rasmussen; brother Bud (Joyce) Tschirgi and sister Donna (Bob) Mies. She is further survived by the Tom Mc Ginnis family, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her son Bret Rasmussen, grandson Nathan Robinson, and the love of her life, Tom Mc Ginnis.
The memorial service for Darlene will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, DECEMBER 16, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street in Menasha. Rev. Steven Billings will be officiating. Mom, no words can express how much you will be missed by all of us who were a part of your life. Your bright light will live on forever in our hearts.
