Daniel “Dan” Kennedy Weir, age 61 of Greenville, WI passed away on July 7, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to Donald and Barbara (Matyas) Weir on August 23, 1964 in Grand Forks, ND. Dan graduated from Appleton West High School with the class of ’83 and went on to earn his Associates from Fox Valley Technical College shortly after. Dan went on to utilize his knowledge to work in sales, most recently for New London Building Supply.
Dan was a hard worker, known for his independence and strong will. He always kept his hands busy with something, whether it be cleaning the house or maintaining his perfect lawn. He enjoyed watching all sports, but especially cheered on the Wisconsin teams. Dan cherished his trips up North and to Canada with his family to go fishing and, more than anything, he loved his family and treasured every moment he could spend with them.
Dan will be deeply missed by his children, Marissa (Steve) Schroeder and Dan (Brittney) Weir; his grandchildren, Natalie and Elise Schroeder; his siblings, Dave Weir and Deb (Dan) Corcoran; his granddogs, Chloe, Mia, Oakley, and Lambeau; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and his wonderful friends and neighbors who he considered family.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Barbara Weir.
A memorial visitation will be held for Dan from 4-6 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel, 1592 S. Oneida St, Menasha, WI 54952 with a memorial service to follow at 6 PM.
