Daniel Thomas VanDera

April 11, 1958 — February 14, 2022

Daniel “Dan” VanDera fell into the Lord’s arms on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1958, to Robert and June (Nowak) VanDera, along with his twin brother David.

In his earlier years, Daniel participated in the Special Olympics. He enjoyed serving communion at Sunday mass at Sacred Heart Parish, attending parish picnics, and playing bingo. He also liked spending time with his family, playing cards and board games. On occasion he would take in a baseball game or stock car race with his father and siblings. Dan also enjoyed eating out, going to the movies, and just hanging out with his twin brother David.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and June VanDera.

He is survived by his siblings, Patricia Levick, Richard VanDera (special friend Jayne Maguire), David VanDera, Roman VanDera (special friend Bonnie Young), and Debra (John) Wrase.

A service will be held for Dan on Saturday, February 19, at 1:00 pm, at Highland Memorial Park Chapel, 3131 N Richmond St, Appleton. There will be a visitation prior from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.

Daniel will be missed by his family and all of the amazing friends he made throughout the years.
