Daniel “Dan” Joseph Harrmann, age 60, was called home on June 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Affectionately known as Bumpa to his granddaughters, Dan was born on April 7, 1966, in Neenah, Wisconsin to Glen and Jan (Ambrosius) Harrmann. He grew up in Menasha, and graduated from Menasha High School in 1984. While attending UW-Oshkosh, he met Lori Streck; it truly was love at first sight. They became engaged three months later and were married on July 25, 1986. A vow renewal ceremony was planned for their 40th wedding anniversary, but due to health concerns, they joyfully celebrated that milestone early on June 14, 2026.

Faith was the foundation of Dan’s life. He lived his beliefs openly and never hesitated to share his hope and trust in God with others. One of the guiding principles he carried throughout his life and career was, "When someone does you wrong, don’t get mad, pray for them.” He poured himself into helping others and never stopped encouraging those fortunate enough to know him.

Dan was a hardworking man with a dream of owning and leading a successful company. After completing his sheet metal apprenticeship with Bassett Mechanical, he joined IVI as a shop foreman. Through dedication, leadership, and a strong work ethic, he advanced throughout his career and retired on January 1, 2026 as Vice President and co-owner of Great Lakes Mechanical and Johnson & Jonet Mechanical. Dan took great pride in his work and especially enjoyed mentoring and developing his employees.

Dan could fix anything, tackle any challenge, and was always willing to lend a hand. Family was his greatest joy. He was immensely proud of his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was a problem-solver by nature, always looking for ways to help others, often placing their needs before his own.

In his free time, he enjoyed many years of coaching girls’ high school softball and working on the #2 racing pit crew at WIR. To know Dan was to know his love of the outdoors. Dan loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and golf. He took particular pride in his lawn, where meticulous attention to detail brought him joy.

As a couple, Dan and Lori found a love of traveling and seeking out new adventures. They hoped to someday return to their favorite place, Medjugorje, Bosnia. In 2021, they became official “snow birds” and bought a condo in Florida. Spending days on the beach or in the Tiki Bar sure beat a Wisconsin winter!

Dan cherished opening his home to family and friends. He enjoyed storytelling and as the evenings progressed, the stories often grew larger than life, complete with Dan’s own creative interpretation of how events actually unfolded!

Dan is survived by his devoted wife Lori; children: Carissa (Brian) Haase, Dillon (Riley) Harrmann, Austin Harrmann; grandchildren: Millicent and Josephine Haase. In addition, he is survived by his siblings: Mike Harrmann, Jeff (Cheryl) Harrmann, his parents-in-law: Bob and Mary “Sue” Streck, brothers and sisters-in-law: Jay (Lotti) Streck, Wendy (Paul) Santkuyl, and Kari Terho. Dan is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. He was honored to be the Godparent of Molly, Alek, Sara, and Wade.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Jan, and sister-in-law Sara Terho-Streck.

A funeral mass for Dan will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 3:00 pm, St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha with Father Matt Settle officiating. Friends and family may gather at the church from 1:00 pm until mass begins.

The family extends their gratitude for all the prayers, love, and support in these recent months.

Dan was always optimistic and often used every experience as a learning one. He would never complain - even when he might have been justified. He always found peace in his circumstances - and truly imbued, “All is well.”
