Dale F. DeWildt

Dale F. DeWildt, 81, passed away on January 20, 2024. He was born on May 25, 1942, the son of Albert and Charlotte DeWildt. He graduated from St. Mary’s Central, Menasha. Dale was very proud of his service in the Marine Corps Reserve. He worked in the bindery at the George Banta Company for over 40 years.

Dale loved hunting, fishing, and observing waterfowl, as well as visiting the American Legion. He enjoyed supporting the Wisconsin sports teams and his daily trips to the Maple Tree Restaurant for soup. Dale really loved the time he got to spend with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert “Obby” and Charlotte “Chico”; brother, Claude; and son, Dean.

He is survived by his sons, Kirk (Michelle) and their children, Evan and Aaron; and Mark (Rachel) and their children, Amanda (Paul), Dana, Tyler, and Drake; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Brayden, and Aniah.

A memorial service will be held for Dale on Sunday, February 4at 12:30 PM, at the American Legion Post 38, 3220 W. College Ave, Appleton. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM to the time of the service.
