Age 54, passed away at her home on Friday, May 22, 2009 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born in Appleton on March 15, 1955 the daughter of Ronald and Jacquelyn (Krock) Kranzusch. On June 25, 1977 she married her former husband, Jerry Budreau. Many know Cindi for operating a child day care center in her home for many years. She belonged to the Fox Valley and Wolf River chapters of the H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group). Cindi loved to ride her Harley, especially to Sturgis every year.
Cindi is survived by her best friend and boyfriend, Paul Friebel of Neenah; daughter, Corinna Budreau of Appleton; Mother, Jackie Kranzusch of Appleton; step-daughter, Michelle (Dan) Boyer of Monterey, CA and their children: Sean and Meagan; brothers: Michael (partner Rick) Kranzusch of Appleton and Brian (Vicki) Kranzusch of Appleton and their children: Kayla and Brady; uncle, Gary (Mary Lou) Krock of Victoria, TX, and several cousins. She is further survived by Paul's family: Ken and Sharon Koester; Mark (Chris) Friebel and their children Brett and Zach; and Jim and Sue Friebel and their son J.D.
Cindi is preceded in death by her father, Ronald; paternal grandparents: Wilbur and Cecelia Kranzusch; maternal grandparents: Arthur and Lorraine Krock; aunt, Doris Meyer; and her beloved dog, Dakota.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Goggins and staff; and nurse and friend, Jamie Monday, for their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Cindi's name is being established.
