Craig James Antonissen, age 41, of 184 Lamplighter Dr. APT #3, Kaukauna, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2011 after his courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1969, in Green Bay, the son of James and Gail (Orthober) Antonissen. He married Penny Ellis of Massachusetts, on April 6, 2002. He graduated from Reedsville with the class of 1988. Craig earned a Business BA at St Norbert's College of De Pere, Computer Science BS Degree at Lakeland College, Sheboygan, and Accounting BA at University of North Carolina – Wilmington, North Carolina. He was employed by the IRS of Washington D.C. until his time of illness. Craig enjoyed spending his time doing wood working, archeology, history, spending time in the outdoors and watching the Green Bay Packers. He loved his family and friends genuinely and it was evident to all who knew him. Craig was always willing to lend a listening ear, genuine hug, or offer a warm smile.
Craig is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 9 years, Penny (Ellis) Antonissen, Kaukauna and loving children “Mini-Schnauzers” Diezel and Max. His parents, James and Gail (Orthober) Antonissen, Two Rivers; two sisters and brother-in-laws: Angela (Dean) Schiesl, Kimberly; Molly (Patrick) Ebert, Reedsville; one brother and sister-in-law: Christopher (Lisa) Antonissen, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews: Samantha and Melissa Antonissen, Ethan and Alivia Schiesl, Joshua and Julia Ebert, and other relatives and friends. Craig was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 522 Tower Avenue, Kellnersville, Wisconsin, with Father Dave Koch officiating. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:30am until the time of the mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Craig's name.
