Cory Adam “Nacho” Warhurst, age 39, of Appleton, passed away on May 13, 2023 at home after a lifelong battle with Spina Bifida. Cory was born on October 16, 1983. His parents are Ron Warhurst and Laura Leedom. He was a 2002 graduate of Appleton North High School. He was employed with his family business, A-Action Steamway as well as helping his brother-in-law with computer/technical work. He enjoyed time with family and friends and loved being an uncle. He loved family game night and was an avid gamer with his friends. He enjoyed playing Cribbage and was in a league with his dad. He enjoyed hunting, playing wheelchair basketball, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling.
Cory had a big heart and was a strong man. He was born with Spina Bifida but he never complained and always had a good attitude. He loved his independence and always tried to bring joy to his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his parents, Ron (fiancé Pat Baer) Warhurst, Laura (Brian) Leedom, Erica (Shawn) Keil, and their 3 children; Isaac, Maya and Asher, Paternal grandfather Jack Warhurst, maternal grandfather Howard (Linda Higgins) Schooley, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Evelyn Warhurst, maternal grandmother Connie Schooley, very good friends Jesse Pickett and Jeremy Orr.
There will be a gathering in celebration of Cory’s life on Friday May 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 and on Saturday May 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM PM at Wichmann Funeral Home on Superior Street in Appleton. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Home.
The family would like to say thank you to the many family and friends, too many to mention, who supported both Cory and our family over the years. You are all so greatly appreciated.
