Constance (Connie) Louise (Redlin) Foate passed away Sunday December 14, 2025, at the age of 90. She left this world to live in eternal peace - lifted up by the love of family and friends gone before her. Connie was born in Appleton, WI on June 28, 1935, the daughter of Mabel G. Wenzlaff Redlin (Rank) and Hugo H. Redlin. One of three children. She grew up in Appleton where she attended Appleton High School. She graduated in 1953.
Connie and Dave were Appleton High School classmates but did not meet until Dave was home on military leave. Connie was working at AAL (Thrivent) and Dave was finishing his duty time after serving in Korea for the US Marine Corp. They were married October 6, 1956. David was the love of her life. Throughout her life, Connie was active in her local church communities and was a past member at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano WI, and Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Seminole FL
Connie was a loving, patient, and caring wife, mother and daughter. She was a woman of Christian faith and loved Christmas. She was a generous Santa Claus. She loved to read, listen to music, and she loved to dance. The jitterbug was a favorite.
As a young mother of four, she was a stay-at-home mom who was active in her children's activities and lives. When the kids were all in school Connie went back to work at AAL. She supported Dave when he co-founded a business in their basement. Connie continued working until she was 51 years old. Both she and Dave retired early. They built a house on Shawano Lake where they lived for 15 years. They enjoyed the lake and many of their neighbors became lifelong friends. They traveled around the country and wintered in various places in Florida. In 1990 they moved to Madeira Beach and became Florida residents. For many years Connie and Dave researched the genealogy of both Redlin and Foate families. This research took them to Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, and England.
In later years Connie enjoyed reading, sitting on her patio by the water and visits from family and friends. She loved to watch the dolphins, manatees, and birds. She loved to say hello to people fishing and boating. She also enjoyed her “talk walks”, visiting with neighbors on her street. Connie was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Connie is survived by her husband of 69 years, David, 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a brother (sister-in-law), and a brother-in-law. Son Michael (Vivian), son Dean (Cindy), daughter Lynn (Randy), son Stuart (Julie). Dean and Cindy’s children Jacob (Jamie) and Allison (Jordan). To marry the person you can laugh with for a lifetime means everything.
Love you more, most, to the moon and back, to the North Pole and back.
