Christopher C. Wells

Christopher ‘Chris’ Wells, age 44 of Appleton, Wisconsin died suddenly on August 4, 2025.  He was born in Rockford, Illinois to Curtis J Wells and Deborah J McGovern (Ferrell).  He attended schools in Loves Park, Illinois; Algonquin, Illinois; and Appleton, Wisconsin.

He loved to cook, fish, and listened to all types of music.  He served as short order cook for many eateries around Green Bay and the Fox Valley.  The one true love of his life was his daughter, Gemma.  His hobbies included collecting gemstones and crystals.  He was caring, outgoing, and his smile was so contagious it lit up any room.

He worked hard to get his license to work as a technician for Wil-Kill/Terminix of Appleton - a job he truly enjoyed and looked forward to advancing his education and expanding his service license.  He was well-liked and praised by both his customers and peers.

Chris was preceded in death by grandparents, Warren and Betty Jo Ferrell, Lou-Ann and Ernie Donaldson, and Richard H. Wells; and his uncles, Thomas Wells and Charles Wells.

Chris will be greatly missed and is survived by his parents, Curtis Wells of Pickerel, Wisconsin and Debbie (William) McGovern of Tucson, Arizona; his brother, Nicholas ‘Nick’ Wells (Theresa) of Lakemoor, Illinois; his daughter, Gemma (mother Allison Engel and sister Violet); his uncles, James (Nan) Ferrell of Benton, Kentucky, Robert Wells of Phoenix, Arizona, and Special ‘Unc’ Richard "Rick" Wells of Appleton, Wisconsin; his aunt, Lori Wells of Galesburg, Illinois and special aunt Shari Wells of Pickerel, Wisconsin; his step-brothers, Ryan and Patrick McGovern; his step-sister, Carrie Fredrickson; his niece, Kylie Wells; his nephew, Dylan Wells; as well as many cousins, second cousins, and other extended relatives.
