Chris Joseph Fischer "PaPa"

Chris J. Fischer, age 71, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on July 16, 1952, in Neenah, the son of Benedict and Rosemary (Westenberger) Fischer. Chris’ passions were his family, grandsons, and golden retrievers. He enjoyed gardening, grilling out, listening to music and being outdoors.

Chris is survived by his daughters: Jessica (Alex) Hoffmann and Jennifer Fischer; grandsons: Tylar (Chloe), Tanner, Devin (Haili), Preston (Izzy), Kaden; great grandson: Iver, Asher, and Avrien; siblings: Sharon Boness, Penny Lundell, and Barbara Kohanski; sisters-in-law: Terry (Dan) Novak and Kim Stoegbauer; close friend: Ray Fischer; other relatives and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Leroy Londre and Ross Fischer; longtime companion: Steven Paessler; and former wife: Mary Ann Mulvey, who passed away two days after him.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Chris’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the ICU nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital for the care, compassion, and kindness.
