MAHLOCH, CHERYL L. (nee CAHOE)

Cheryl Mahloch, age 51, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 as a result of a tragic accident. She was born on October 31, 1960 in Appleton, the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Crha) Cahoe. Cheryl was a 1979 graduate of New London High School and later attended Northeast Technical College to become a Wisconsin Correctional Officer at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. She worked for the Winnebago Mental Health Institute. Cheryl greatly enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Gina and her grandson, Parker, in Illinois.

She is survived by her daughter Gina (fiancé Larry); grandson: Parker and newly born granddaughter: Portia, along with Gina's father, Tom Gheldof. Cheryl is further survived by her mother: Josephine (John) Thiel; her five sisters: Penny Williams, Cindy (Chris) Lessor, Bonnie (Paul) Knaack, Connie (David) Kedrowicz and Becky (Randy) Huss; nephews and nieces: Pat (Julie) Plamann and Vanessa (special friend Matt) Plamann; Katie (fiancé LJ) Anderson; Brooke (fiancé Kyle) Huss and Bo Huss; and her maternal grandmother: Viola Crha. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason; her father, Robert Cahoe and grandparents, John Crha and Tom and Catherine Cahoe.

The memorial service for Cheryl will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 17, 2012 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Rev. John Slotten will be officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the Washington County Sheriff's Department for their wonderful support and professionalism during this difficult time. We would also like to thank the first responders and all who assisted at the accident.
