Age 93, Charles was reunited with his wife on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Charles was born in Little Chute on April 5, 1929, son of the late Martin and Hattie (Van Haelst) Van Eyck.  He married Theresa Schaefer who preceded him in death in 2011 and two brothers Joseph and Peter and one sister Rita.

Charles was a loving husband and father of 7. He enjoyed his family, engineering, flying his plane, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Darboy and is survived by two daughters: Mary (Doug) Bath and Jean (Steve) Figlinski; five sons: James, Thomas (Cindy), Gerald, Steven and Patrick Van Eyck; nine grandchildren: Steven, Jake, Zachary, Matthew (Lauren), Kylie, Mark, Aaron, Luke and Ashley; two great-grandchildren: Xander and William. Charles is also survived by many family members and many friends.

The funeral liturgy for Charles will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 30th at HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH, W2806 County Road KK, Darboy with Father Carl Officiating. Internment will be at Holy Spirit Cemetery following service. Visitation will be from 9:00am until the hour of service.

There will be a gathering in the school gymnasium directly following the burial.
