Age 79, passed away at Harbor House Residence in Green Bay on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. She was born on February 20, 1932 the daughter of the late Paul and Fern (Hesse) Sigl. She married Leo Fuerst on April 22, 1950. Charlene liked gardening, both vegetables and flowers, and making a variety of crafts. She was a loving homemaker, and proud of her five children. Charlene will be remembered for positive outlook and bubbly laugh.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leo; five children: Leon (Mary) of Little Chute, Tricia of Little Chute, Leo (Linda) of Freedom, Marie of Black Creek, and Mark of DePere; four grandchildren: Chad Van Handel, and Jennifer, Kyle, Michael Fuerst; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
