Cecelia Miller

January 6, 1929 — October 12, 2024

Greenville

Cecelia Miller (nee Miller), age 95 of Greenville, WI formerly of Milwaukee, WI joined her heavenly kingdom on October 12, 2024. She was born to Adam and Cecilia (Bayer) Miller on January 6, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI. She married Donald “Don” Miller in June of 1950, raising 3 children through the years. She was a committed full-time mother and even found time to be a lunch server for various schools who needed her help. Cecelia and Don were happily married for 73 years.

Cecelia’s life was all about her family, her home, and her faith. She was devoted to the Lord and dedicated her life to her family. Cecelia was a woman of faith. She was formerly a member of Corpus Christi, was a part of the Christian Mothers Association, and assisted in cleaning the church. She also volunteered much of her time at the food pantry in Dale and sang in the church choir for St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. You could consider yourself lucky if you were gifted one of Cecelia’s beautiful knitting projects. She loved collecting Norman Rockwell plates to add to the beauty of her home. On any given day, you could likely find Cecelia cleaning her home, keeping everything tidy, orderly, and spotless. It was a joke, but also true that you could eat off her floors! More than anything in the world, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandkids and her beloved great-granddaughters, whom she spoiled with her secret cookie stash.

Cecelia will be missed by her children, Jeff (Sue), Dan (Joy), and Tim; her grandchildren, Sarah (Andy) and Matt (Samone); her great-grandchildren, Isla and Eden; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.

In heaven, Cecelia joins her husband, Don; her siblings, John (Beatrice), Peter (Caroline) Matthew (Francis), Michael (Charlotte), Adam (Mary), Joseph, Therese (Frank), Frank (Mary), and Catherine “Katie” (Edwin “Eddie”); as well as several siblings-in-law on Don’s side.

A funeral visitation will be held for Cecelia on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, N2385 Municipal Dr, Greenville, WI 54952 with a mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Cecelia will be laid to rest with Don at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lake Area Zoological Society (Bramble Park Zoo) in Watertown, South Dakota, in honor of Cecelia’s wishes using the link found below.

Cecelia’s family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses, the nuns and spiritual leaders, the doctors, and other supporting staff at St. Paul’s Elder Services and Hospice, especially both Lindseys in hospice and Ashley, her in-home healthcare giver, for all the care and compassion shown to Cecelia (and Don) during their time of need.

Thanks for letting us grow up in the “Leave it to Beaver” family, mom. We love you!
