Carol J. Van Vonderen

Carol J. Van Vonderen, age 90, of Appleton, passed away on April 9, 2023 at Edenbrook of Appleton. Carol was born on January 4, 1933 in Appleton, Wisconsin to the late Ben and Ella (Sauer) Schumacher. She was a graduate of Appleton West High School. She enjoyed time with friends.

She is survived by her daughter Vicky (friend Terry) Van Vonderen and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Gilbert “Gib” and Roy Schumacher and her ex husband, John "Jack" Van Vonderen.

At Carol’s request, private graveside services will be held. Wichmann Funeral Homes of Appleton, www.wichmannfuneral homes.com is serving the family.

The family would like the staff and nurses of Edenbrook of Appleton and Bristol Hospice for the care given to Carol.

In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
