Born May 11, 1935, to Everett and Nellie (Stienen) Wurdinger, Carol grew up in Kimberly and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1953. Bob and Carol took over Van Thull’s Bakery from Bob’s parents in 1960 and ran it until 1990. After Van Thull’s Bakery closed, Carol worked for our beloved Manderfield’s Bakery family until she retired in 2009. She loved carrying on the Sunday breakfast tradition Bob started in 1990. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. In fact, in the most recent years spending time with her great-grandchildren was her most important and favorite activity.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. “Where I have gone I am not so small. My soul is as wide as the world is tall. I have gone to answer the call, the call of the One who takes care of us all. Wherever you look, you will find me there; In the heart of a rose, In the heart of a prayer. On butterfly wings, on wings of my own, To you, I’m gone, But I’m never alone, I am home.” Grief The Unspoken.
