Carol A. Schoeni (née Entringer), age 89, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Greenville, Wisconsin. Born on October 14, 1936 in Sheboygan, WI to Bernard and Josephine Entringer, she was raised as one of seven children, the eldest daughter, in a close-knit and loving family.

Carol spent her early years in Sheboygan and began her professional life working for the Boy Scouts of America, where she proudly dedicated many years of service. On September 14, 1963, she married Guy Schoeni. Together, they made their home in Greenville, Wisconsin, where they built a life centered on faith, family, and community, raising their six children.

A woman of many talents, Carol was an expert seamstress who lovingly crafted clothing for her family. She was also an accomplished knitter and quilter, often found with needle and thread in hand, creating beautiful and meaningful pieces for those she loved. She enjoyed canning and baking, and anyone fortunate enough to enjoy her apple strudel or homemade pie is probably still talking about it today! Her creativity and care were woven into everything she made.

Carol’s Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. She gave generously of her time and talents to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception parish in Greenville, where she supported both the church and its elementary school in countless ways. She was a leader of the original church restoration group in the 1980s, chaired numerous committees for church picnics, and was an active member of the Christian Women Society and the prayer shawl group. Alongside her husband, she also dedicated many hours to St. Francis Xavier High School in Appleton, where their six children attended high school, chairing multiple committees for the annual Food Fair fundraiser for numerous years.

Carol enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was tending to her garden, taking walks and bike rides in the neighborhood or sitting in her backyard or her cherished sunroom. She and Guy enjoyed taking their family on annual camping trips to Hartman Creek Campground in Waupaca, a tradition that created lasting memories and a lifelong appreciation for nature within their family.

In her retirement years, Carol found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and Guy enjoyed frequent trips to visit their children and grandchildren who lived out-of-state. Carol also remained active through her quilting group and her YMCA water exercise class, as well as the beloved domino group that grew from it - friendships and traditions that continued to enrich her life.

Above all, Carol will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and parishioner. Her kindness, generosity, faith, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and cherished forever.

Carol is survived by her siblings, Thomas Entringer (Nicki), Arlene Von Der Vellen (Joe), Peggy Zimmermann (Mike) and Teresa Shult (Pete); her sister-in-law, Shirley Entringer; her beloved children, Stephen Schoeni (Karla), Michael Schoeni (Janine), Mark Schoeni (Kristen), Kent Schoeni (Jayne), Kurt Schoeni (Melissa), and Lynn Schoeni; her grandchildren, Sydney, Taylor, Julia, Cecilia, Benjamin, Katharine, Derek, Jacob, Cody, Ryan, and Samuel; as well as many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Schoeni; her parents, Bernard and Josephine Entringer (Ohlschmidt); her siblings, Lee Entringer and Guy Entringer; and her sister-in-law, Faye Entringer.

Her love and example will remain with her family always.
