Carol J. Boettcher

Carol J. Boettcher, 89, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024.

She was born on May 28, 1934 to Herman and Gladys (Swenson) Harder in Amherst, Wisconsin. On August 25, 1956 she married Jerry (Jerome) Boettcher of Merrill, Wisconsin. They lived in Antigo, Waukesha and moved to Appleton in 1966. There they lived and raised their family together, until Jerry’s death in December 2014.

Family and friends were the focus of Carol’s life. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and baking for everyone. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton. Together they enjoyed traveling, golf, bridge and their many dear friends.

Carol was proceeded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her son Jeff (Nancy) Boettcher, Julee McVicker, Colin (Kirsten) Steinke, CJ (Kandice) Boettcher, Rinn Boettcher and three grandchildren Emma, Henry and Morgan and brother Reverend John Harder.

A visitation for Carol will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. in Appleton, from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024, with a service to follow at 11:00 am.
