Bryan Scott Ross, age 67, passed away July 27, 2025, after struggling with Frontotemporal Degeneration. He was born May 2, 1958, in Appleton, the son of Kenneth and June (Rohde) Ross.
Bryan retired in 2014 after many years of employment at Kimberly Clark’s Lakeview Plant. An enthusiast of the outdoors, he particularly enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, water skiing, and cross-country skiing with family and friends. His spontaneity kept family vacations/outings fresh and interesting. Bryan was quick to make a joke, and you would know when the punch line arrived because he was the first one laughing. With an active mind and energetic spirit to match, Bryan kept himself busy restoring homes along with perpetual wheeling and dealing of cars, boats, and practically anything with wheels or an engine. His passion for music and the guitar was passed on to his sons who both enjoy careers as musicians.
Bryan is survived by Julane, his wife of 46 years; sons: Tyler and Eric (Jenna); siblings: Debbie (Ken) Burrows, Mike (Ruth Ann), Sue (Mark) Houle, Mary (Steve) Young; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerald Polar, Bob (Peggy) Polar, Jim (Annette) Polar, David (Fay) Polar, and a large extended family.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at Whiting Boathouse in Neenah. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm with a brief service at noon. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to this nonprofit that provides assistance to families facing the hardships of caring for a loved one with dementia.
