Brett W. Goerl

November 7, 1958 — December 5, 2011

Goerl, Brett W.
Town of Greenville

Brett W. Goerl, age 53, died peacefully surrounded by family at the home he shared with the love of his life Tammy Gardner. Brett may have lost the battle with cancer but he emerges as the victor, as his next home is in Heaven. He was born on November 7, 1958 the son of the late Ralph and Sharon Goerl. Brett graduated from Kimberly High School in 1977 and lived most of his life in Combined Locks, where he raised his daughters. Brett served his country by doing two tours with the US Navy. Hooyah! He was currently employed with Seagrave Fire Apparatus. He was very proud to help produce an “American” made product. He really loved his job and spoke highly of his co-workers. He said that this was the best job of his life. Brett loved all animals. He was very supportive of Tammy and her animal rescue missions. NASCAR racing and Packer games were his favorite weekend passions. One did not call or disturb him while he recliner-coached his team. He also loved camping, spending time with his grandchildren and taking care of his huge lawn and animals. He was passionate about his Harley and was an avid rider.

Brett leaves behind four grandchildren: Skyler, Serenity, Trinity and Gavin. Immediate survivors are his daughters: Sadie (Fred Kubichka) Goerl, and Steavie Goerl. Other survivors are Tamela Gardner and her son, Nicholas, Greenville; Gina Wiste, Alaska; Bart and Pam Goerl, Freedom; Ginger and Tom Tralongo, Appleton; Blaine and Pam Goerl, Appleton; Gemie and Michael Kohler, Arizona. Also, many nieces and nephews. Brett was proceeded in death by his parents Ralph and Sharon Goerl and his special friend and Uncle, Terry J. Limberg.

At Brett's request, there will be no funeral or services. Brett will be cremated and a “Celebration of Life” will follow this summer at Lions Park in Greenville. There will be a picnic and a time of remembrance for his family and friends.

If there are Harley's in heaven, Brett will be the happiest man there! Brother, it's been a hell of a ride. We will see you on the other side!
