Boyd A. Snyder, born on July 26, 1937, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away on May 17, 2025, at Cherry Meadows after a brief illness. He was a cherished member of his community and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Boyd began his career as a baker at Rich's Bakery in Appleton, dedicating many years to honing his craft and serving delightful creations to the community. Later in his professional journey, he retired from the Appleton Sanitation Department, concluding a career characterized by hard work and commitment.
Beyond his professional life, Boyd was known for his vibrant personality and deep passions. He found joy in gardening and spent many memorable moments at his land near Waupaca, where he nurtured both plants and friendships. A lover of country music, Boyd often participated in line dancing, sharing his enthusiasm with those around him. He enjoyed the thrill of deer hunting, which allowed him to connect with nature and embrace the outdoors.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Una Snyder; his children, Nick Snyder, Julie (Jim) Vaughan, and Scott (Jinzi) Snyder; and his six grandchildren, Ashley, Jenna, Iris, Selene, Morrigan, and Brigid, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his brother, Gale (Mary) Snyder, and sister-in-law, Barb Wright, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dean and Gary, as well as his sister-in-law, Celia Whitman.
Boyd will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton, where a private service will be held. His legacy of kindness and love will always be remembered by those who had the privilege to know him.
