Beverly Lou Komp, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Although she had been diagnosed with dementia late last year, Beverly remained surrounded by compassionate care and kindness while residing at Aspire Community for Seniors in Kimberly, Wisconsin. Her family is deeply grateful to the dedicated caregivers and staff who provided exceptional support and comfort throughout her journey.

Beverly was born on August 20, 1948, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, to Alfred and Dolores (Portmann) Le Clair. She was the youngest of four daughters and grew up alongside her sisters, Audrey, Marilyn, and Jan. Bev's childhood was filled with memories of family and community, including helping at the family-owned fish market in Two Rivers. The values of hard work, generosity, and caring for others that defined her throughout her life were rooted in those early years.

Bev graduated from Appleton West High School in 1967 and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and service to others. On June 29, 1974, she married the love of her life, Ronald Komp. Together they built a loving home in Appleton, Wisconsin, where they raised four children: Brian, Laurie, Craig, and Scott.

Throughout her life, Bev held several positions that reflected her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Colony Oaks Nursing Home, Assistant Manager at Express Convenient Center, and later as a Pricing Coordinator at Herberger's Department Store and Younkers Department Store. No matter where she worked, Bev was known for her reliability, determination, and commitment to excellence. Her efforts earned her numerous accolades and the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

While Bev worked hard, her greatest joy was always her family. She absolutely adored her seven grandchildren: Kyle, Chloe, Eli, Mia, Maci, Calvin, and Harrison. Whether she was taking them to rummage sales, exploring the Dollar Store, picking apples in the fall, creating arts and crafts projects, or simply bringing them along on everyday errands, she cherished every moment spent with them. Her grandchildren will forever remember her kindness, laughter, and the unconditional love she shared so freely. In her free time Bev enjoyed crocheting and was recently creating lap blankets for her neighbors while she sang along to Elvis music.

Bev had an extraordinary heart for helping others. One of her favorite Christmas traditions was "adopting" a family in need each year. She especially enjoyed taking mothers shopping for gifts for their children, carefully selecting presents, wrapping them with love, and delivering them just before Christmas. The joy she found in giving to others reflected the generous spirit that defined her life.

Among her favorite places was Pickerel Lake, Wisconsin, where she and Ron spent a cherished week each summer with family. She loved fishing, relaxing at the cottage they rented year after year, and making memories with those she loved most. She often described the lake as her "little piece of heaven." While there, she also enjoyed visiting the Mole Lake Casino for a little fun and entertainment. Bev and Ron also looked forward to their annual trips to Las Vegas, where they enjoyed the casinos, sightseeing, and the occasional show together.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dolores Le Clair; her sisters, Audrey and Jan; her beloved husband, Ronald; her son, Brian; and her grandson, Kyle.

She is survived by her sister, Marilyn; her children, Laurie (Brian) Rusch, Craig (Twila) Komp, and Scott Komp; her grandchildren, Chloe, Eli, Mia, Maci, Calvin, and Harrison; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Bev's legacy is one of love, generosity, hard work, and devotion to family. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued and cared for. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be missed beyond measure, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A celebration of life gathering will take place on Tuesday September 15, 2026, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton.
