The world lost a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother on February 28, 2024. Betty, 70, of Appleton, Wisconsin, battled cancer, but that never stopped her from living her life to its fullest. Betty died surrounded by her husband, Ron and her daughter, Sara. Betty was born in Kaukauna, WI on September 14, 1953. She claimed to have learned everything she knew from her very direct, German, father, Herman; however, she definitely had the beauty of her Hungarian mother, Catherine (Turk).
Even though Betty worked in accounts receivable most of her life, her true passion was design. Betty had an artistic eye for everything. She would spend endless hours in her sewing room. She was a master quilter. She cherished every moment she had with all of her quilting and sewing friends.
Betty’s second passion in life were her flower gardens. Digging in the dirt all day Saturday and Sunday pruning flowers gave her pure joy. She definitely had a green thumb just like her father.
Betty was good at so many things. When it comes to baking, she takes the cake! She learned from her mother. She then shared her baking skills with her grandchildren, Braylea and Jayce (Kolakowski). She also shared all of the wonderful treats she made with her fur babies. Betty was a true dog lover.
Betty was always surrounded by true friendships and loving family. She is survived by her husband, Ron, daughter, Sara, her two grandchildren, Braylea and Jayce, her brother Steve (Diane) Turk, and her sister, Patty (Gary) Fuerst. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Herman and Catherine Turk.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on June 15, 2024. Specifics to come at a later date. Friends wishing to honor Betty are invited to make a donation in her name to Saving Paws Animal Rescue or another no kill animal shelter of your choice.
