Betty Jean (Popp) Greil of Appleton had her prayers answered on Tuesday January 27th, 2026, as she moved to meet Jesus in heaven.

Betty lived a full 85 years and was a loving and devoted wife to the late James William Greil.

Betty lived a purposeful life, loving and raising her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty enjoyed being a true prayer warrior with a fierce unwavering love for Christ.

She also enjoyed the outdoors, gatherings of family and friends and fishing.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Author and Linda Popp, her brother Duane Popp, her sister Sandra Moericke, and her son Rodney James Greil.

Survivors include her sister Donna, Daughter Lori (Paul) Mahnke, her children Andrew (Cassandra) and Jonathon, son Michael (Lisa) Greil and his children Joshua, Eric, Katie (Chris) and Trevor (Carlee), daughter Connie (Steve) Hartjes and her children Lucas (Fara) Sarah (Beau) and Jordan (Whitney), and Rodney's children Angela, Jesse, Leah and Isaac, and several beautiful great grandchildren many family members, nephew's and niece's and many amazing friends.

Services will take place on February 16, 2026, at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel - 1592 S Oneida St. Menasha WI 54952. The visitation will be from 9am to 11am with the memorial service starting at 11.
