Bessie Enz

Bessie Enz, formerly of Appleton, died on Monday, August 9, 2010, at her home in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Bessie was born August 2, 1915, in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Mishek) Kacerovsky. On January 7, 1938, Bessie married Harold Enz in Green Bay. He preceded her in death in February of 1994. The family resided in Appleton for many years, and Bessie was employed for seventeen years at Lawrence Univeristy. She retired in 1980. Bessie was a former member of St. John United Church of Christ in Appleton, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

She leaves behind one son: Patrick Enz of Bolingbrook, Illinois, with whom she had resided for the past twelve years. She was preceded in death by sisters Rose Kay (twin) and Ann Viste; and brothers: Joseph, Wencil, Frank and Tony, her husband: Harold; a son Harold Jr.; and daughter: Judith Ann.

Funeral services for Bessie will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Dr. Thomas Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service.

Bessie was a friendly, kind, caring, loving, giving individual. She will be greatly missed.
