Bernice M. Zollpriester, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2026, with her sister Betty and niece Gail by her side at Eastview Medical and Rehab Center in Antigo.
Bernice was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on August 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Babbler) Zollpriester. She grew up on the family farm, a graduate of the Antigo High School. Thereafter she moved to Appleton, Wisconsin to pursue her career. She worked for Home Mutual Insurance Company, Mares Insurance Agency and Retired in 1993 from AAL (Aid Association for Lutherans, now Thrivent). After Retirement Bernice did volunteer work at Appleton Memorial Hospital and St. Thomas More, where she was a longtime member. In 2014 Bernice moved back to Antigo, Wisconsin. Bernice loved being "Up North" by her family and watching the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her sister Betty Rew of Antigo, Her niece Gail (David) Curran of Post Lake and their family. She is also survived by her sister n law Marlis Zollpriester of Wausau, as well as her nephews the "Green Boy's" and many other nieces and nephews.
Bernice was proceeded in death by her parents, 3 siblings': Virginia Fleischman, Agnes Green and Peter Zollpriester jr. Brothers-in-law Harold Timm, Leonard Fleischman, Rueben Rew and James Green.
A funeral service for Bernice will take place on Monday January 12, 2026, at 12:30pm at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 12:00 until the service begins. Bernice will be entombed at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
